Adhesive
Just one or two small dabs of Poligrip® Seal & Protect adhesive stabilizes your partial denture and helps create a snug, firm yet comfortable fit to reduce movement against your gums and the teeth next to your partial. It also helps seal out irritating particles of food to help reduce gum irritation.
Cleaning
Brushing your partial with regular toothpaste may scratch it and some denture cleansers may corrode metal clasps so it's important to use a special cleanser. Polident® Clean & Protect contains a corrosion inhibitor to help keep the metal parts of your partial protected. The unique formula also releases active oxygen to help kill 99.9% of odor-causing bacteria.
It may be tempting to keep your partial in your mouth, to clean it with your natural teeth, but instead, to clean your partial properly, you should remove it every day and use a specially formulated cleanser to ensure thorough cleaning. Always follow the instructions on the pack.
YOUR PARTIAL NEEDS
Special Care
The following good 4-step oral care routine can help you keep your partial in shape and also help protect your natural teeth:
- Brush your natural teeth twice daily with fluoride toothpaste
- Clean your partial denture daily with NEW Polident® for Partials Clean & Protect cleanser
- Use NEW Poligrip® for Partials Seal & Protect denture adhesive to help stabilize your partial
- Visit the dentist regularly (every 6 months)
Be proactive
Protecting your natural teeth
Wearing a partial can put extra stress on neighboring natural teeth. If it is not held securely in place it can apply pressure to the adjacent teeth, possibly causing them to move. This could increase the risk of losing more teeth. Less movement means less risk to natural teeth. Poligrip® Seal & Protect adhesive helps stabilize your partial and reduce potential problems in the future.
Polident® Clean & protect has been specially formulated for partial dentures. A clean partial may help reduce the risk of gum irritation helping to protect your healthy natural teeth as part of a good oral care routine.
